NEW in our assortiment, the wines of Castello di Meleto
Posted on: 10-05-2012
Like a fairytale, Castello di Meleto lies in the enchanting Chianti Classico landscape at the end of a pleasant driveway lined with cypresses and junipers, surrounded by sun-kissed fields and vineyards.
The land of Castello di Meleto stretches round the castle for about 1.000 hectares, 180 of which are destined for the cultivation of the grapevine. Mainly Sangiovese destined for the production of Chianti Classico, together with Merlot, Cabernet, Syrah and other “traditional” types of vine.
The soil is mostly marl, calcareous and alberese: it is just in this barren land that the grapevine gives its best fruits.
More information about this producer and his wines will be soon on our website.
